Talking Tactics at Mullets & Mulligans

Recently, Malinda Guest, the creator of Let’s Talk Tactics, had the incredible opportunity to speak at the Mullets and Mulligans Golf Day, an event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health. Hosted by The Mullet Mentality, the day brought together community members for a fun, impactful experience on and off the green.

Malinda’s talk focused on her innovative TACTICS framework, a powerful tool for improving communication in all areas of life. Designed to guide individuals through meaningful conversations, TACTICS equips people with the skills to prepare, navigate, and follow up on discussions about important topics. Whether it’s addressing mental health, resolving workplace conflicts, or strengthening personal relationships, the framework offers actionable steps for fostering understanding and support.

At the event, Malinda introduced the Know Your Mates Cards, a unique resource designed to spark deeper, more meaningful conversations among friends and colleagues. These cards, inspired by the TACTICS framework, feature thoughtful prompts and questions that encourage connection and understanding. They served as an engaging way for participants to learn how to support their mates while creating a relaxed, open dialogue.

“Good communication is the foundation of strong relationships,” Malinda shared during her presentation. “The TACTICS framework and Know Your Mates Cards are about making those conversations easier, so people feel supported, heard, and empowered to take action when needed.”

The response to Malinda’s presentation was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees leaving inspired to take these tools back to their workplaces, families, and communities. By addressing mental health through education, conversation, and connection, the event highlighted how small steps can make a big difference.

The Mullets and Mulligans Golf Day was not just a fun event but a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting one another. Malinda’s message resonated deeply, reinforcing the idea that effective communication can transform lives, one conversation at a time.
